K’gari Cosmetic Bag

K’gari [GUR-rie] also known as Fraser Island is the largest sand-island in the world where the Butchulla people are the traditional owners of the land.

The younger sister of our K’gari Tote bag, this cosmetic bag is made with 100% recycled glass. The ideal cosmetic bag for keeping small bits safe. Great for travel or in just your everyday bag.

How is it made? Recycled glass is made by sorting glass bottles and containers by colour, giving them a good clean. The glass is then melted down and turned into thin thread-like fibres. These fibres are woven together creating a tough yet light fabric that forms the base of our K’gari Cosmetic Bag.

As with our K’gari Tote Bag, we’ve showcased how branding can be incorporated into the K’gari cosmetic bag with this lighter coloured vine floral pattern.
