ABOUT US

Ecolyfe is passion project driven by a marked increase in clients requesting eco and sustainable items. We wanted to create a one-stop shop where like-minded clients could go to to satisfy their need for sustainable merchandise and this is how Ecolyfe was born!

We have always been staunch advocates and supporters of the push towards sustainability within the merchandise industry. Thankfully, demand pushed the manufacturers to a point that we can now source a large variety of Eco products that we are proud to offer you, our savvy customers.

Arty, Nerida, Alix, Angela, Jane & Mirela – the all girl team behind the award winning Seen Promotions are excited to offer a new range of sustainable and ethical merchandise. These products not only look and feel good but will make you feel good knowing that your Company is choosing greener branding options to minimise harm to our beautiful planet.

Some of the new materials you can expect to be hearing more from us about when discussing your future promotions and merchandise include:

Bamboo – a highly sustainable crop when done right. Traditionally many bamboo fabrics on the market are a form of rayon (harmful chemicals!). In recent years, things have changed in the way these chemicals are managed –  a big step in the right direction. Certainly a step-up from polyester and conventional cotton,  and generally a safe bet as a more sustainable option.

Not keen on landfills filling up with plastic? Neither are we. Luckily, recycled polyester (Rpet), is made from recycled plastic bottles. Its production requires far fewer resources than new fibers do and generates fewer co2 emissions. Win!

With a much smaller environmental footprint and reduced production costs, natural graphite is the much used (think batteries and pencils) material for a greener future. As the energy transition continues, new graphite mines could play a key role in meeting graphite’s rapidly growing demand. Traditionally the purification process was chemical rich but new, cleaner methods are coming to the fore making this once again a ‘greener’ alternative.

Wood is the ultimate renewable. As long as what is cut down is planted to regrow. Trees are an attractive alternative to other materials that typically use more carbon in their production.

Similar in quality to conventional cotton,  minus the negative impact on the environment.  Grown from non-gmo seeds with no pesticide, insecticide or fertilizer, organic cotton fixes most of the environmental challenges facing conventional cotton production.

Where organic cotton is grown without harmful pesticides and chemicals, recycling goes one better –  reusing something that has already been produced. If possible Recycling organic cotton is likely the best and most sustainable cotton story around.

Rice plants absorb silica from soil, so naturally, their husks contain up to 20% silica. Rice husk ash is considered to be one of the most promising and environmentally friendly sources for the production of silicon-based materials. You’ll find some of our coffee cups and plates etc available using this amazingly durable material.

Another husk material, wheat husks were usually disposed of or burned by farmers (air pollution anybody?!). After wheat grains are harvested, the stalk that remains is known as ‘wheat straw’. instead of disposing of this natural by-product in harmful ways, it can be reclaimed and repurposed into solid and useful products.

Hemp is the perfect no-waste product. An incredibly robust crop, hemp grows without the need for pesticides, yet yields large amounts of fibre. And it grows FAST! Hitting maturity in as little as 100 days, with up to three crop rotations possibly annually, making it a renewable dream. And what can’t you make from hemp?

This one is interesting. Believe it or not (it’s true, we swear!) cork trees live between 100 and 300 years! Each time cork is harvested the cork bark regenerates, in the process absorbing swathes of co2. A naturally occurring wonder, it biodegrades completely and can be easily recycled without producing any toxic residues! Also great for popping out of bottles on weekends!

The Ecolyfe range includes metal drink bottles, reusable cups and other items that help us reduce single use plastic. We are distributors of re-use pioneer products from Frank Green, Keep Cup and Mizu – long lasting, aesthetically pleasing planet saving items that you’ll be happy to see your logo come to life on.
